All known data about the isolated West Siberian population of shining spurge (Euphorbia lucida Waldst. et Kit.) (protected rare species of Tyumen flora) is given: namely, 17 marks in books and articles (1891-2011 yrs.), 116 herbarium speciments (collected in 1818-2013 yrs), photographs, field-works materials. E. lucida occurs in 5 administrative districts of Tyumen Region (Nizhnetavdinskiy, Yarkovskiy, Tyumenskiy, Yalutorovskiy, Zavodoukovskiy and probably Tobolskiy district as well) within a 250-kilometer stretch of the Tobol river basin and its tribu-taries. Generally it’s in sub-taiga region (aspen-birch forests zone), but partially it’s in the southern taiga. It is very active in these places and occurred even in disturbed habitats. Its habitat registered within the boundaries of a large city of Tyumen, being an apophytes. Perhaps nowadays it presents in Zauralie (Sverdlovskii region), where it was gathered only once in 1885. Horology and ecological confinement are recom-mended for E. lucida, the problem of aboriginals or adventive species in the regional flora is discussed, preservation means are proposed, opinion about this spurge neces-sity as part of the list of plants of the Red Book of the Tyumen region is supported.
