Multimedia is an integration of various type of media. In it involves text, audio, video, graphics and many more. Multimedia is a term frequently heard and discussed among educational technologists today. Multimedia items used in smart classes, video projector, projection screen etc. Multimedia play a important role of many areas of primary education children in development of verbal communication, the ability to think, the ability to understanding. The present investigation identifies the positive influence of different types of multimedia in primary education. For the investigation, various schools were selected in the five mohllas of Alambagh area in Lucknow city. These Mohall as are Pawanpuri, Kailaspuri, Geetapalli, Krishnapalli and Sujanpura. A total of 120 Pre-primary and primary teachers were selected for the study. Random sampling method was used for sample selection and questionnaire schedule was used for data collection. The t test used in research for data analysis. The results revealed that multimedia have capacity to change the child abilities in positive way, increased content related knowledge and thinking of students.

Inclusion is an educational approach and philosophy that provides all students with community membership and greater opportunities for academic and social achievement. Inclusion is about making sure that each and every student feels welcome and that their unique needs and learning styles are attended to and valued. Research shows that most students learn and perform better when exposed to the richness of the general education curriculum, as long as the appropriate strategies and accommodations are in place. Today it is widely accepted that inclusion maximizes the potential of the vast majority of students, ensures their rights, and is the preferred educational approach for the 21st century. Unfortunately, the philosophy has not always been widely held. Our thinking and acceptance has evolved rapidly over the last century, and continues to evolve, in response to federal and state law, along with our changing social and political beliefs. As we strive to meet these challenges, the involvement and cooperation of educators, parents, and community leaders is vital for the creation of better and more inclusive schools.

This research is carried out on 35 students of IX standard, Kendriya Vidalaya. Students were selected for the therapy on the basis of their SUD score. After taking Math autobiography it was revealed that anxiety in Mathematics for the students was developed due to various causes and the students were not Dyslexic. Student’s average score in the recent Mathematics exam was noted. Mathematics Anxiety was assessed by using Suri, Monroe and Koc’s (2012) short Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale and their hemispheric dominance of the brain was measured by using Taggart and Torrance’s Human Information Processing Survey (1984). Students were treated with Behaviour Modification techniques, Adappa Kalam and Super Brain Yoga for four weeks. For the study Interventions used are: (i) Reduction of Rate of Breathing (Ganesan, 2012). (ii) Laughter Technique (Ganesan, 2008). (iii) Develpoment of Alternate Emotional Responses to the Threatening Stimulus (Ganesan, 2008). (iv) Adappa Kalam (Shunmugom, 2014) (v) Super Brain Yoga (Sui, 2005). The Anxiety level and performance in Mathematics exam was reassessed after four weeks. Results showed that group's Mathematics Anxiety and Mathematics SUDs were significantly reduced from 65.14 to 52.49 and 60.63 to 48.29 respectively. Eventually, it significantly improved the group's average performance in Mathematics exam from 51.43 to 58.60. This shows that Behaviour Modification techniques, Adappa Kalam and Super Brain Yoga are efficient in treating Mathematics Anxiety.

Spirituality may refer as a subjective feeling and experiences that occur both within and outside of traditional religious systems that influence various domains of life e.g. physical health, mental health, optimism, resilience and quality of life. The aim of the present study is to explore the relation between spirituality and quality of life in male and female hostlers. To accomplish the goal of study, we selected 100 girls and 100 boys post graduate students from Aligarh Muslim University through random sampling method. The entire participants were hostlers whom age ranges from 18-24 years. We applied Daily spiritual experience scale (DSES) and WHOQOL-BREF on the participants to collect data. We analyzed data with the help of t-test and Pearson product moment co-efficient of correlation. The results indicate positive relationship between spirituality and quality of life. Result also shows the difference between male and female hostlers on spirituality and quality of life.

The aim of this investigation was to identify the differences between parental support system and dimensions of identity development among adolescents. A sample number of 120 adolescents belonging to different age groups from schools and colleges were selected for the study. Parental Support Scale developed by Dr. Niveditha Sharma and Nimmi Khare (2002) and questionnaire developed by Cheek and Briggs (2013) on aspects of identity development was used for data collection. Results indicate that, there were significant differences found in the mean scores of perceived parental support system and identity development of adolescents and further the results also shows the significant differences between two variables such as identity and the dimensions of parental support system i.e. parental interest and parental resource provision. Which means the adolescents who are receiving high parental support in terms of parental interest and parental resource provision had high mean scores on aspects of identity development such as social, relational and collective identity.

Disabled people are more likely to experience a lot, or a great deal, of worry than those who are not disabled. People with disabilities (e.g. physical impairments such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury etc) are just as likely as the general population to experience mental health problems. They may be even more likely than the general population to need and use mental health services. Possible reasons for this may include – higher rates of poverty and unemployed amongst disabled people which are themselves associated with poor mental health; the greater risks of abuse experienced by disabled children and adults; and, some people with mental health support needs may be more likely to become physically disabled as a result of accidents or attempted suicide. There is also increasing acknowledgement that long-term mental health problems are correlated with conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. People with disabilities appear to be at greater risk of mental health problems than the general population and therefore make a disproportionate contribution to mental health morbidity internationally. The personal and social costs of mental disorders are considerable throughout the world. The mental health of populations has been recognized as an international priority (World Health Organisation 2005). An important part of addressing this will be attending to the needs of people with disabilities who are a disproportionately disadvantaged group. In the following sections we briefly examine what is currently known about the association between disability and mental health. It is suggested that people with physical impairments and mental health support needs tend to be overlooked by policy-makers and commissioners of services. Many people with disabilities report having difficulty accessing mental health services because of their physical impairments. Many also have difficulty accessing physical disability services because of the inadequate recognition of mental health needs with disability related services.

Indian society is rapidly changing in accordance to cultural, social, moral and political values. India is known as second largest democratic country in the world. The roots of democracy in Indian people have been strongly established since the struggle of Indian independence. Socio-political environment have been changing from last decade. On this background it was hypothesized that social change negatively related to secular attitude. For this study 100 students were selected from different colleges. The social change inventory and secular attitude scale was administered on participated students. The results does not confirm the hypotheses in this study. The social change issue and importance of secular attitude has elucidated in the present paper.

This research paper deals with the Family Environment and its Correlation with Anxiety and Depression level among persons with Heart Disease. There had been a number of researches that investigated that ischemic heart disease patients who suffer significant anxiety have close to a 5-fold increased risk of experiencing frequent angina and those with depression have more than a 3-fold increased risk for these episodes. This observed link between psychiatric symptoms and angina underlines the importance of treating anxiety and depression in cardiac patients, according to study co author Dr Mark D Sullivan (University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle). To gather the needed data, Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Becks Depression Inventory were used. As stated from literatures, for people with heart dysfunction, depression and anxiety can increase the risk of an adverse cardiac event such as a heart attack or blood clots. For people who do not have heart disease, depression and anxiety can also increase the risk of a heart attack and development of coronary artery disease. Researchers have also emphasized on the role of family psychosocial environment and its positive association with the Coronary Heart Disease risk.

In the global work environment, it is important to have cordial relationship between the diverse workforce for proper functioning of the organization as well as the well-being of the employees in the organization. Religious orthodoxy and wider social distance between the diverse groups can be a threat for the organizations. The present study aimed at assessing role of religiosity and social distance in predicting well-being in two different communities (Hindus and Muslims) in India. The sample comprises 100 young adults (50 each from both the groups) from different organizations of Delhi city. Result revealed significant difference on the dimensions of religiosity and well-being between the two groups, but not for the dimension of social distance. Religiosity has been found to be positively correlated with well-being, while social distance was found to be negatively correlated with well-being. Social distance has emerged as strong predictor of well-being. Further, the implications of the results for the two groups in context of work environment are discussed.

The domain of social intelligence and development is a critical component of descriptions of human ability and behaviour. Social skills are important for preparing young people to mature and succeed in their adult roles within the family, workplace, and community. For educators, it is increasingly obvious that learning is ultimately a social process. The present study was conducted on the rural area of Puducherry to find out ‘Social development of Adolescence in rural area of Puducherry’. Total 120 adolescent were selected for the study. Data were analysed using median and t-test. Results (1) based on the median value shows that there is social development in Overall sample, Boys, Children of both literate Parents and Children of single literate Parents. On the other hand Girls, adolescence belongs to other backward caste, scheduled caste and Children of both illiterate parents have poor social development. (2) based on t-test shows that there is no significance of difference between the sub-samples of (i) Boys and Girls (ii) Other backward community and Scheduled community (iii) Children of both literate Parents and Children of both illiterate Parents (iv) Children of both literate Parents and Children of single literate Parents (v) Children of both illiterate Parents and Children of single literate Parents.

Research largely shows that religion has a positive correlation to psychological well-being. Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that related humanity to an order of existence. Many religions have narratives, symbols and sacred histories that are intended to explain the meaning of life or the universe. From their beliefs about the cosmos and human nature, people derive morality, ethics, religious laws or preferred lifestyles. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4200 religions in the world. Many religions may have organized behaviours, clergy, a definition of what constitutes adherence or membership, holy places, sermons, commemoration or veneration of a deity, Gods or Goodness, Scarifies, festivals, feasts, trance, initiations, funerary services, matrimonial services, meditation, prayer, music, art, dance, public services or other aspects of human culture. Religion influence individual personal and social overall development. Every religion is giving more importance to love and peace. However, a close looks on these religiosity highly influence in the individuals in both rural and urban areas. The study findings provide how the religiosity influencing among adolescence in rural and urban areas concluded that religiosity among rural adolescence is higher than the adolescence from urban area. Here we used “Rajamanickam’s Religious Attitude Scale “proposed by Rajamanickam (1989) for measurement.

This paper examined the relationship of materialism, depression and compulsive buying among university students. Moreover, it aimed to see the role of demographic variables in the relationship between these variables. Material Value Scale (Richins & Dawson, 1992), Compulsive Buying Scale (O'Guinn & Faber, 1989) and the subscale of depression of DASS (Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995) were used to measure materialism, compulsive buying and depression respectively. The sample comprised of 430 university students within the age range of 18 to 24 years (M = 21.55, S.D = 1.95) from five universities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. A significant positive relationship between depression and materialism was found. A significant difference between males and females on materialism and depression was found with males scoring significantly higher on both as compared to females. However, no significant difference was found between males and females compulsive buying. There was a significant difference among adolescents and adults on materialism with adults scoring higher as compared to adolescents, while no significant differences were found on depression and compulsive buying.

Background: Depression is one among the disorders that have always been targeted by researchers in India. In South India the prevalence is 15.1%. Large number of studies has been published from India revealing various aspects of this commonly prevalent disorder, but there is limited evidence for the non-adherence to anti depressants in India. Aim: To assess the reasons contributing for non adherence in patients with depression. Method: This is a prospective, observational study, conducted in a tertiary care teaching hospital, Guntur. Medication adherence was assessed using the eight-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) and a self administered questionnaire during the period of 1st February 2015 to 31st July 2015(i.e. 6months). Results: A total of 60 patients met the inclusion criteria; 68.3% are females and 31.6% are males. Among those, 3 (5%) are highly adherent, 17 (28.33%) are moderately adherent and 40 (66.67%) are poorly adherent. Conclusion: The overall Non adherence rate is found to be high in the study. The results presented suggest that pharmacist instructions may improve adherence in depression. Clinical pharmacist in this regard has a major role to play in uplifting and improving the quality of life of the patient.
