The article covers the issue of the Ukrainian interwar political emigration’s attitude to an outstanding figure of Ukrainian national revival M. Drahomanov. The research is based on Mykyta Mandryka’s letters to a famous Bulgarian scientist, ethnographer, literary man, political figure and diplomat Ivan Shyshmanov. The letters are kept in the Scientific Archive of National Academy of Science of Bulgaria. Two letters from M. Mandryka and the extract from the letter from the representatives of the Central Union of Ukrainian Students to I. Shyshmanov are analyzed and published for the first time. They prove Ukrainian emigration to be interested in M. Drahomanov’s scientific heritage and testify to the fact of cooperation with I. Shyshmanov. The civil and political environment of the Ukrainian emigration in Czechoslovakia, Mykyta Shapoval’s role in founding Ukrainian higher education establishments and scientific institutions in this country, his personal attitude to M. In the article is analyzed synchronous information which contained in the revolutionary memoirs of soviet time 1940-80th. Also settings, processes of production and popularization of this type of sources are described in the article. Disclosed the statement, that these similar texts were in most cases the product of soviet propaganda and agitation, but not true narrative source. In this article the main attention is focused on the minor information is embedded in the Soviet memoirs of the history of the Civil War 1917-22 in Ukraine. They are seen as a product ofthe era, it turns out their purpose and role in the advocacy policy of the Soviet authorities, but traces conditions and peculiarities of their appearance. The official rate of the process of writing his memoirs at his appointed time asking profound publication devoted to the October Revolution and the Civil War coming out with some regularity large circulations. They laid all the conceptual aspects, and the official interpretation of certain events appointed period. Among of them publications “The history of civil war in the USSR” which consist of 5 volumes and which came out in 1930-60 also “Civil War in Ukraine (1918-1920)” in 3 volumes which was prepared for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. The process of collecting, writing and popularizing memories recruited especially important on the eve of the commemoration of revolutionary anniversaries. On the largest scale natural celebrated round dates, 40th and 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. Collecting memories at this time engaged as party and state archives, regional museums, some universities, historians and editors sometimes local periodicals. Led the process of collecting the memories of participants and promote the events of 1917-22 Institute of Party History under the Central Committee of the Communist Party, which was virtually a monopoly highlight key points in the image of heroes and forgetting the so-called “enemies”. A separate line of propaganda activities of the Institute of Party History and its branches take memories of Vladimir Lenin. This process became much rise during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution and the 100 anniversary of his birth. It was at this time beginning to appear in the future well-known on the territory of the Soviet Union memories of the “leader of the proletariat”. Special pride for people who wrote the memoirs was a direct presence in his speeches. Almost continuously, the collection of memories about the events of the revolutionary period, took place at the local level, and generally can be inscribed in the context of Soviet regional studies. There is no doubt that one of the main features of a totalitarian state is a continuous control consciousness of its inhabitants. It is one of the tools such control was formalized memory of the Civil War that was relayed through the living voice of its members. Given the importance of the event itself, its image and values were to be sacral for society. So the memories of participants, during the period of the Soviet history of Ukraine, became an instrument of propaganda and agitation, served as a convenient source of confirmation the official concept of the historiography. The article deals with the history of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists in Romania, in general, and Northern Bukovyna, in particular, in the late 1930’s - early 1940’s. It describes the activities of individual members of the OUN through the prism of testimonies of its political opponent Hnat Porokhivsky, a representative of the Minister of War of the Ukrainian People’s Republic in Romania, in a criminal case about “counterrevolutionary” activity. In November 1920, H. Porokhivsky, as the leader of the machine-gun crew of the Army of Ukrainian People’s Republic, crossed the Ukrainian-Romanian border. In 1921-1923, he was the commandant of the camp of Ukrainian military internees in Romania. After the liquidation of the camps, he took an active part in public life of Ukrainian emigration, and was one of the leaders of the central public emigre organizations in Romania - Public Aid Committee, a branch of the Ukrainian Society (supporters) of the League of Nations, Ukrainian savings and loan association “Zgoda”, Simon Petliura Committee, and the Society of former Soldiers of the Army of Ukrainian People’s Republic in Romania. Since 1929, H. Porokhivsky served in the 2nd (intelligence service) department of the Romanian General Staff. At first, he was an interpreter, since 1932 - a reviewer of the economic and political intelligence service in Western Europe, 1942 - Chief of scientific bureau “Agents of the Eastern Front” of the Special Information Service (intelligence service). He repeatedly traveled to Western and Central Europe, maintained contact both with prominent Romanian politicians, members of parliament from Bukovina and with representatives of legal and illegal Ukrainian political parties and organizations in Romania, including the OUN. In November 1944, he was arrested by the Soviet secret service. He was under the investigation in Moscow and Kyiv. In 1947, he was sentenced by a military tribunal to 25 years in prison. He died in a camp not earlier than 1949. Archival investigation case of H. Porokhivsky is an important and representative source of both the history of Ukrainian immigration in this Balkan country and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. It provides an opportunity to determine the degree of interaction of Ukrainian immigrants from different socio-political environments, find out the reasons underlying the transition of supporters of the government of the Ukrainian People’s Republic in emigration on the side of the OUN before and in the early years of World War II, specify life record data of the OUN members Yury Furman, Ivan Hryhorovych, Orest Masykevych and others, and reveal peculiar features of use by the OUN members of service in the Romanian intelligence services to conduct secretive activities. Historical and pedagogical experience of formation of the system of training and professional development of experts in the sphere of patent science and invention in Ukraine in the 1960-1970th is covered in the article. State and public forms of education to patent business are considered. It is shown that the leading role among the state educational institutions belonged to the Central institute of professional development of executives and experts of a national economy in the field of patent work (1968) and to Central advanced training courses of technical officers in the field of patent science and invention (1963) which were in Moscow. The branch of the Central advanced training courses which carried out training of patent professionals on a full-time and distance-learning programme worked in Kiev. The considerable attention is paid to creation of a network of public faculties (institutes) of patent science in the middle of the 1960th in USSR. It is opened a role of Ukrainian republican and regional councils of All-Union society of inventors and rationalizers in creation of public sector of patent education. The content of curriculum, training terms, the contingent of students, the faculty of public faculties (institutes) of patent science created in Mykolayiv, Zaporizhzhya, Kyiv, Simferopol, Odesa and other cities are analyzed on archival materials. It is pointed out certain defects of work of public institutes of patent science, first of all insufficient quantity of competent teachers, unsatisfactory providing students with educational and methodical materials, insufficient number of institutes for training of number of patent professionals, necessary for the republic, etc. Influence of activity of public institutes of patent science on efficiency of activity of patent services of the enterprises and organizations in USSR is characterized.
