The influence of El Nino / Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on the atmospheric concentration of beryllium-7 (7Be) in five points situated in South America: Guayaquil, Lima, Anafagasta, Puerto Montt and Punta Arens was investigated. By using correlation analysis it was found that significant statistical relationship between the variability of concentration of 7Be and variability of indices NINO 1+2 and NINO 3 take place in Guayaquil and Puerto Montt. In these cities during the period 1967–1998 yr. there was increased of statistical relationships between the variability of concentration of 7Be and variation of the indices. The results indicate that ENSO most significant effect on the atmospheric concentration of the isotope in the regions located in the subequatorial and subtropical climatic belts. Moreover, such an effect on the time interval 1967–1998 yr., the second half of which corresponds to the period of modern global warming, has increased significantly.

The article studies main biological features (host range, virion morphology and sensitivity to different environmental factors) of phytopathogenic Pseudomonas sp. bacteriophages. Pfl14 and Pfl17 phages were attributed to Syphoviridae family. The resistance of these phages to heating and UV-irradiation, as well as stability in a number of solutions and tapwater was shown. These features are considered important for practical application of phages in natural environment.

The effect of iron ions Fe2+ and Fe3+ on the bioluminescent recombinant strain of Escherichia coli in a single-component and binary system. Found that for the bacteria E. coli Fe3+ ions are more toxic than Fe2+. Under the combined effect of iron toxicity increases, the percentage of luminescence quenching increases, but the value is much less than the sum of the indicator for the Fe2+ and Fe3+. The biological effect of insertion of iron is not proportional to their content in the mixture.

The article studies semantic gap as an objective phenomenon, shows that semantic gap occurs both in parallel computing and in other areas. Semantic description of the content is revealed as a set of different descriptions. Causes of semantic gap are described. The content of information exchange is explained in the article. Information interaction in the semantic field is interpreted as a mechanism to lessen the gap.
